Colleen Cory is an art educator with eight years of teaching experience in the Sarasota County School District. She currently teaches Drawing 1, 2D Art, 3D Art, and Fine Craft Studio at North Port High School, where she encourages students to explore their creativity through hands-on learning and personal expression. In her classroom, the process is just as important as the finished piece, and students are supported in developing both technical skills and confidence in their own artistic voices.

Before joining North Port High, Colleen taught a wide range of visual arts courses, from introductory 2D classes to advanced AP and International Baccalaureate Visual Arts. She has guided students to showcase their work in exhibitions, win scholarships, and gain recognition at state and national levels.

Her own inspiration as an artist comes from her travels, the beauty of national parks, and the everyday details of her surroundings. With a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education and a minor in Painting and Ceramics from the University of Florida, Colleen brings both passion and expertise into her teaching. She believes that art has the power to connect people with themselves, each other, and the world around them.
