Alex Marques

 

Dance Adjunct

 

​Educator and choreographer Alex Marques holds a Dance Theatre Conservatory certification from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City and Los Angeles, where she trained extensively in traditional and contemporary dance, acting techniques, musical theatre performance, and choreography. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Old Dominion University.

During her time as a military spouse, Mrs. Marques taught a wide range of dance disciplines in both public and private educational settings, worked with studios, and choreographed for dance companies and festivals throughout the East Coast. Most recently, she has spent several years in studio management, overseeing all aspects of artistic programming—from developing comprehensive technique curricula to producing full-length company performances.

Mrs. Marques believes dance is both discipline and expression, requiring dedication to rigorous training alongside meaningful artistic sharing. She is delighted to bring her lifelong passion for dance and performance to the students of NPHS.
